We’re delighted to announce Macey has recently acquired the highly respected Kiama-based insurance broking business, Greg Walsh & Associates (GWA).
“Greg Walsh is a true doyen of the South Coast insurance industry, having served local businesses for over 40 years,” says Brendan Goddard, Macey Managing Director. “We’ve been lucky to know Greg, both professionally and personally, for quite a few years now, and our two businesses share many common values. We’re also part of the Steadfast Group – one of Australia’s leading Insurance Broker networks – so, after numerous conversations over the past twelve months about the value of joining forces, both GWA and Macey felt the timing was now right. It’s a great step for both businesses and for our clients.”
Day-to-day, it will be very much business as usual for GWA staff and their clients, with GWA continuing to operate out of their Kiama offices as a ‘Division of Macey.’ Notably, Greg will be staying in the business indefinitely, together with his two daughters, Alison and Jill, who will remain as valuable members of the GWA/Macey team moving forward.
