You will require your unique DEFT biller reference number which is shown on the front of your invoice or statement.
IMPORTANT UPDATE
From 1 October 2026, DEFT will no longer accept insurance premium payments by credit or debit card.
You can continue to make payments via:
BPAY® – using the Biller Code and DEFT reference number shown on your invoice or statement.
Australia Post – pay in-store via EFTPOS using the barcode shown on your invoice or statement.
Premium Funding Direct Debit – contact our team to discuss premium funding options.
In person – visit your local Macey office to make a payment using our EFTPOS terminal.

BPAY 24/7
Contact your participating bank, credit union or building society to make payment directly from your cheque or savings account.
You will be required to enter the Biller Code and BPAY reference number as detailed on the front of your invoice.
In Person
Payments can be made by cheque or EFTPOS at any Australia Post Office branch using the payment slip.
