The Shoalhaven Business Chamber (SBC) & Macey Insurance Brokers Annual Charity Golf Day has once again proven to be an extraordinary celebration of community spirit and generosity. In its 11th year, the event shattered records, raising $32,134.82 for three deserving local charities:
- Immune Deficiency Foundation of Australia (IDFA)
- ROCC for Women
- SAHSSI
Under clear blue skies, golfers, businesses, and community members came together to enjoy a day of friendly competition and heartfelt giving.
A Day of Sunshine, Golf, and Giving
The event kicked off with a hearty breakfast provided by Parrish Plumbing, featuring egg and bacon rolls paired with freshly brewed coffee from Aussie Home Loans Vincentia & Nowra Coffee Van. Players hit the greens, supported by refreshments from the Kinghorn Motor Group Mobile Drinks Cart and 19th Hole Hydration Station.
The community’s overwhelming support raised an initial $16,067.41, which was generously matched by Geoff O’Connell of Kinghorn Motor Group, bringing the grand total to $32,134.82. Each of the three charities will receive $10,711.60, empowering them to continue their vital work in the Shoalhaven community.
Highlights of the Day
The course was buzzing with activity, thanks to unique novelty holes that kept participants entertained while driving up fundraising efforts:
- Hole 1: Macey Insurance Brokers – Mini Golf: Raised $1,280
- Hole 3: South Coast First Aid – Most Creative Selfie: Raised $125
- Winner: Shoalhaven Signs
- Hole 4: Shoalhaven Signs Party Hole – The Wedgey: Raised $430
- Winner: The Goodies
- Hole 12: Climax Air Conditioning – Marshmallow Drive: Raised $570
- Winner: J from Shoalhaven Signs
The Aussie Coffee Van also contributed $150.50, with special congratulations to Matt Clay from The Greenhouse for winning the coffee prize!
