The South Coast is renowned for many things; pristine white sand beaches, native wildlife habitats and friendly locals. However, did you know that the South Coast has some of the best wineries and food producers along the East Coast?
Last weekend we celebrated the best local wineries and food vendors had on offer at the South Coast Food and Wine Festival (SCFWF). Located on the idyllic Moona Moona Beach Reserve in Huskisson, Jervis Bay, this year’s event drew a crowd! Visitors from near and far enjoyed this 2-day event with live entertainment, intimate masterclass cooking experiences and a VIP oyster experience.
With over 50 exhibitors on display, each day offered an exciting gourmet experience that people of all ages enjoyed. The Nowra Farmers Market Masterclass stage included cooking experiences with Chef Nick Gardener from Hampden Deli & Cooking School, Jervis Bay Mussels and Jervis Bay Brewing Co, and Fish Butchery with Luke from Tuna Tail Poke Huskisson.
Not only was the cooking experience world-class, but also the live performers, including Liam Maihi, Hot Potato Band, Kate Young and The Martini Henry’s.
This year we partnered with the SCFWF to offer the Macey picnic experience, allowing patrons to enjoy the entertainment with their friends and family on the provided Macey picnic rugs.
We thank Sam and Sonia Tooley, the event organisers, for their dedication and hard work, especially with Covid and weather conditions to forceable move the event in the last week.
